Many trading platforms bundle data costs into opaque subscription tiers, making it difficult to understand what you are actually paying for. Heritage Workshop takes the opposite approach: the subscription covers platform access, strategy automation capacity, risk-control enforcement, and support — nothing more. Raw exchange data fees and third-party connectivity costs are passed through at cost and shown as separate line items on your monthly invoice. Is there a free trial period?
Yes. Each plan includes a 14-day full-access trial with no payment required. You will be asked to provide a payment method at sign-up, but nothing is charged until day 15. You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.
How are data pass-through costs calculated?
Exchange data fees vary by venue and data type (level 1 vs. level 2). Heritage Workshop invoices these at the rate charged to us by the data provider — there is no markup. The itemised breakdown appears on your invoice each month alongside your subscription charge.
Can I upgrade or downgrade between plans mid-cycle?
You may upgrade at any time; the new tier activates immediately and the cost difference is prorated to the day. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle to avoid disrupting active strategies.
What happens to my strategies if I cancel?
All live strategies are suspended immediately on cancellation. Your strategy configurations, backtest results, and audit logs remain accessible in read-only mode for 90 days, giving you time to export everything before the account closes.
Does Heritage Workshop hold or custody any funds?
No. Heritage Workshop is a software platform only. All trading capital remains in your brokerage or exchange account. We connect to your account via API or FIX credentials — we never hold, move, or have discretion over your funds.
